Industri Energi demands compensation for corona testing during free time
Industri Energi is demanding compensation for the time used for corona testing before travelling offshore.
On the 28th and 29th of April, LO and Industri Energi are meeting the employer’s organisation Norwegian Shipowners Association and some of their members in labour court.
The case is about oil workers in seven companies who were forced to take the corona test during their free time at the place of departure instead of taking it at home.
-Our opinion is that this kind of testing should be compensated, says national officer Jørn Erik Bøe from Industri Energi.
Industri Energi sent the subpoena last fall and is positive to Safe declaring to be an assisting intervenor in the case.
Anne Lise Rolland is the LO lawyer who will be leading the case.
